Sing Along with the Rainbow Fairies

Why singalong with the Rainbow Fairies? Over the last 5 years, I have loved writing the lyrics to the songs I sing at Rainbow Workshops. It is a lovely challenge, to fit the simplified nutritional benefit into a nursery rhyme, which will hopefully enchant or excite little children about why they should eat a rainbow of fruit and veg.

I have always loved singing, and this ‘job’ (admittedly, more of a vocation!) gives me the perfect opportunity to sing almost daily. I am sometimes asked whether my songs are on You Tube, whether I am a professional singer (if only!) and where parents can buy a CD.

So here it is. A CD of 19 songs about the following nutrient dense fresh produce: banana, lettuce, peppers, carrots, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, brassicas, kiwi, cucumber, persimmon, alliums, pumpkin, pulses, avocado, pineapple, pomegranate, beetroot and herbs!

All to the tunes of 7 well known nursery rhymes, with instrumental verses to sing along to at the end of each song. Tricky words are explained (like guacamole and pulses), and along with talented (and professional singer) Rainbow Fairy Suze, we have tried to entertain children, but not irritate grown ups! I do hope you enjoy listening and learning with your children.

Thank you to the wonderful people who made this possible- Pete Hollis and The Wood studio (arrangements, engineering and mastering , Suzanne Dennison (vocals), Sally Hughes (artwork/website), and Zsuzsanna Goldbach (design). This CD was produced by I Know Why It’s Yum, Mum! Ltd. Copyright 2016.
