For schools, organisations, parks and families

Since working as Education Officer for Ealing Council in Walpole Park in 2019, I have developed and delivered hundreds of nature related workshops, walks, family events, and holiday clubs. Since 2020, I have also worked for Pitzhanger Manor House and Gallery Trust (delivering their outdoor educational workshops in Walpole Park), Ealing Parks Foundation and Ealing Council, across four parks (Walpole, Southall, Acton and Northala Fields). I can run workshops for up to 30 children at a time (with teacher/helper adults supervision), and commonly topics of workshops and public sessions are centred around:
  • Trees
  • Bees
  • Birds
  • Foraging
  • Natural art (clay art, mosaic making, crown making)
  • Survival skills in nature
  • Plants and growing
  • Nocturnal animals
  • Bugs
  • Using nature for Resilience/Mindfulness activities
  • Using nature of the Park for physical play
  • Hungry Caterpillar storybook (Early Years)

All workshops generally take between 75-90 mns, will involve a combination of alternating physically active and calmer activities, whilst children learn about the topic in an interactive way, working in pairs, small groups or whole classes. Workshops are fast paced, great fun, and pupils leave feeling invigorated and engaged in the natural world. I adopt a similar approach when running Holiday Clubs.

Public/family/Covid bubble/household events are tailored to the needs and resources of the organisation or funder commissioning the event. Please email me at natashagavineo@gmail.com to enquire about my availability. I charge £150 per half day.
